The mission of Mentor Iowa is to provide trained volunteer mentors to abused, neglected and delinquent children who are under the jurisdiction of the Juvenile Court. We will do this by working in partnership with the children, their families, and the community.

January 10, 2010 ~Art Center~ Mentor Iowa participants will visit two famous paintings in the Edward Hopper exhibition to look at the use of color, light, and geometric shapes of urban environments. Participants will then return to the studio and make their own cityscape using shapes of colored papers and chalk pastels. February 20, 2010 ~Sleepy Hollow~ Mentor Iowa participants will brave the cold and enjoy a day of tubbing. March 20, 2010 ~Iowa Energy Game~ Mentor Iowa participants will help cheer on the Iowa Energy! |
