Mentor Iowa - Every Child Deserves a Future

Mentor Iowa is partnering up with KIOA in a search to find 30 mentors in the next 30 days and we need your help! Mentor Iowa currently has over sixty children on the waiting list for a mentor that can make a difference.

Becoming a Mentor
Mentors are good listeners, caring friends, confidence builders and ordinary people. Some are professionals, others are homemakers, retirees, or students. While some volunteers are married, many others are single. All it takes is six hours per month and you can make a positive impact in a child’s life.

All volunteer mentors inherently possess the three most significant mentor requirements: 1) The ability to become a friend.  2) The ability to be a good listener.  3)  The desire to make a difference in the life of a child.
