Mentor Iowa recognized at Prairie Meadows Community Betterment Grant Award Luncheon

Mentor Iowa was among more than 200 non-profit organizations recognized at the Prairie Meadows 2009 Community Betterment Grant Award Luncheon on Thursday, February 11, 2010.  Mentor Iowa received a $10,000 grant from Prairie Meadows Racetrack and Casino through its 2009 Community Betterment Grant Program.

Prairie Meadows annual Community Betterment Grant Award luncheon featured guest speakers, music and dance performances and artwork from grant recipient organizations.

“We are very honored to be selected by Prairie Meadows to receive these needed grant funds,” said Marty Lester, Executive Director.  “These funds will help ensure our ongoing efforts to find mentors for every child on our waiting list.”
